Bathroom did not smell clean. The shower was very poor, no pressure at all. We had specified a high floor room yet we were given a ground floor room right next to the main door where we could constantly hear the noise of people coming in and out of the hotel.

We stayed in the B&B section across the road. Decoration a little tired but clean and perfectly adequate. Reception staff friendly and helpful with knowledge of the area. Walking distance to the 'West End'.
Top Tip
Good Indian restaurant called Balbirs there, which was reasonably priced.

The only negative point is noise because of the Sauchiehall road.My room was directly on that road and I think the window need some fixation to decrease the noises!!

Mould growing behind the bath. Discarded food was lying between bed and bedside cabinet and still there next day despite making it more prominent for the cleaning staff. Hairs on 'clean sheets'. Carpets filthy and old. Party going on in rooms for two nights of our stay were unchecked because no hotel staff remain in the building at night (they are in main hotel, Argyll Hotel) of which the Argyll Guesthouse is used as an annex. Someone had been sick on the passage nearby the partying room and it had not been cleaned up properly. Rooms were cold. Shower performance was one of the worst I have experienced. Wireless internet was not available from my room. I contacted the staff in Argyll Hotel, he explained it must be a problem with the weather,?? (despite the wireless router being located in the entrance hall in the same building) and was not interested in helping further, promising to get an engineer to check it out next day. Breakfast was served in Argyll Hotel (just across the road) and was excellent. Cheap and nasty if you like it that way.

room was a bargain price with a fair sized bathroom. It was clean. Only trouble was internet connection , the tv wasn,t working and it was a bit of a nuisance having to book in over the road but apart from that not bad. Its about a 10 minute walk into town.
Top Tip
Theres plenty of restaurants and bars very close by and the art gallery as well as the park.
