The Hilton Hotel is housed in an extremely imposing 20-storey modern building, which features lots of pale stonework and frosted glass in its construction and offers panoramic views across Glasgow. The spacious, atrium-style lobby is elegantly appointed, with a central chandelier and an extensive seating area. The 282 guestrooms vary in size from medium to large. They are decorated in a chic yet understated style, characteristic of the chain, their soothing beige décor contrasting with the tartan pattern of the curtains. Furnishings include a work desk and a large armchair with ottoman and easy chair. Other special touches include daily newspaper and magazines. The hotel’s Cameron restaurant has been designed to resemble a traditional Highland hunting lodge, named in honour of Cameron Lochiel, chief of the Clan Cameron. It is an elegant venue serving Scottish cuisine enhanced by global flavours, such as sage chicken with ricotta ravioli. Alternatively Minsky's, a New York-style deli, offers steaks, soups, seafood, salads and a carvery. Guests can also relax in the Raffles Bar, its ceiling fans and palms pleasingly redolent of a colonial outpost.
