The hotel is located right in the centre of Glasgow, on George Square, which is also the location of the city chambers. Boutique shopping in Buchanan Street is just round the corner and bars and restaurants in the Merchant City are also close by. Queen Street train station is right next door, with trains to Edinburgh every 15 minutes.

The Millennium Hotel is housed in an imposing Victorian building, which overlooks George Square and was constructed for the Tobacco Lords. It actually used to be three separate residences, one of which was owned by William Burrell (of the famed Burrell Collection in Pollock Park). It has been extensively renovated, with the addition of a conservatory. The lobby is large, airy and modern. The 110 guestrooms are appointed in a modern style, but with some traditional touches. They feature soothing beige décor and crisp white bedspreads, which contrast pleasingly with the patterned curtains. The hotel’s Georgics Bar is a laid back, friendly wine bar offering a superb selection of fine wines from around the world and great food with a Mediterranean twist. Alternatively, the Brasserie on George Square is a contemporary, yet relaxing restaurant with the emphasis on great food in an informal environment. The menu ranges from award winning Loch Fyne Seafood and à la Carte to daily specials.
