The hotel is located in the heart of Glasgow, very near to boutique shopping in Buchanan Street and the bars, restaurants and clubs of the Merchant City. The Royal Concert Hall and School of Art are also close at hand.

The Quality Central Hotel is housed in a grand Victorian building that is actually part of the Central Railway Station’s main structure. This is one of the most central locations possible, it is suitable for budget travellers as room standard can be variable due to the age of the building some customers may feel rooms are worn and dated. There are still some smoking rooms available in the hotel on a request basis.
Accessible from both the street and the station, the lobby is pleasantly appointed, with a tiled floor, a long dark wood reception desk and a compact seating area composed of leather armchairs. Elsewhere, the interior features a baronial wooden staircase, elaborate Victorian cornices and pilasters. The 222 guestrooms boast extremely high ceilings and are decorated in a traditional style, with patterned wallpaper and bedspreads. Light snacks are served in the lounge area, whilst the restaurant offers carvery, table d'hôte and à la carte menus. There is a sports bar on the first floor.
