The hotel is located in the West End of Glasgow, within easy walking distance of the University and the Kelvingrove Museum & Art Gallery. The centre of the city is also easily accessible, via Kelvinhall underground station, which is 10 minutes' walk away.

The Townhouse Hotel is a B&B property housed, as its name suggests, in a Victorian townhouse, set in one of Glasgow’s most attractive Georgian-style crescents, just off Sauchiehall Street. Though it retains some impressive features, such as the original cornicing and a wide, curving staircase, the interior is fairly dilapidated. None the less, the 19 guestrooms are spacious and provide decent, basic accommodation for budget travellers. A somewhat brighter spot is the breakfast room, which is cheerfully appointed with light blue décor and pine furniture. Here guests can enjoy a full Scottish breakfast.
